Did I mention GABF was a blur? Between manning the booth, trying to sample beers and make change for … was that a $20 bill? … I almost forgot that I did a video interview with John P. Knox of HopSafari.com, giving a demonstration of how 33 Beers tasting journals work. So it was a very nice surprise to see his finished movie (below) – I don’t even think it makes me look too dumb!
John’s a really interesting beer blogger – kind of Austin’s version of Matt Wiater – like Matt, he takes amazing photographs of brewers and breweries, and even has this beautiful book that gives readers a sneak peak behind the walls of 512 Brewing (whose beers I had the good fortune to sample lots of at GABF this year). Definitely worth adding to your collection – it’s as good a visual record of the brewing process as I’ve ever seen.
I had already done my official beer (Flossmoor’s Collaborative Evil) for the day when John stopped by the booth, so consider this a bonus beer review!

Hi Dave,
I’m glad you liked the video and my book! It was great finally meeting you at GABF.
We’ll have to make another video next time we meet. Wouldn’t it be fun to have a few people log the same beer and see how their palates differ?
Cheers!
