Holy crap! 50 seems like some kind of milestone, right? Through sore throats and a few visits from the hangover fairy, I’ve toiled on and on and on, and can now assure you that I am fully 5% of the way through this 999 beers in 999 days beer tasting project. I hope the other 95% proves as enjoyable – the need for novelty has forced me to try some beers I wouldn’t normally have chosen (Zywiec Porter) and also led me to more consciously consider a few old favorites (Firestone Walker’s Pale 31). Today’s beer falls into the latter category. I’ve always liked this beer, but apparently when it comes down to numbering my preferences, there are other Double IPA’s I prefer (Blue Dot FTW!). Behold the benefits of record-keeping!
