Wow, can’t believe I haven’t reviewed an Amnesia beer yet. They’re a favorite brewery of mine here in Portland, not for the food (frozen burgers, obscenely priced), and not even for the beer (which can sometimes be a little inconsistent), but their patio is unmatched for summer beer drinking. It’s located in the trendy Mississippi shopping area, so there’s plenty of people watching to do as you imbibe on the sunny deck. The interior, like the food, tends to the utilitarian, but the atmosphere will keep you at the long picnic tables far longer than you intended, and it’s a recommended visit for any Portland beer tourist.
I consumed this beer on a patio, but at the NE Portland Moon & Sixpence, which is a fine place for a pint, but in early December, it’s far from the sunny respite Amnesia provides mid-summer. Is it spring yet?
