You know you’re running a successful beer blog when the free beer starts showing up unannounced. The folks at Tallgrass Brewing found me through the magic of the internets (apparently) and sent me a mixed four-pack of cans for review purposes. Nice surprise!
I thought I’d start with the IPA, since it might be the least likely to retain fresh, hoppy flavor. Alas, this beer falls into the “east coast IPA” category, and isn’t nearly as aggessively hopped as most west coast examples (my personal preference). Still, I think those that like maltier, less aromatically hoppy IPAs might be into this.
