Apparently this beer is all the rage in the Twin Cities, the original home of the famous Grain Belt brewery. I remember driving past the sign in my periodic visits, but being a native Iowan, I didn’t have much experience with the brewery’s beers, and knew it only as a nostalgic landmark.
I’ll be honest – this beer isn’t all that great, other than its really cool-looking, nostalgic label. Unfortunately, in bottles as in life, it’s what’s inside that counts.

Best beer on the planet taste wise and price wise. So good the stuff is impossible to find right now. I heard that the brewery couldn’t keep up with demand. I like the Premium Grain Belt just slightly more than Nordeast. It is a smooth carmel tasting beer. For a full beer it is very refreshing.

Grain Belt Nordeast is the elixer of the gods. To say otherwise is blasphemy.
