I bought this beer mainly as a test of the brewery before I committed to buying their Double IPA (aka “DIPA”). I’m a big judge of labels, and I judged both of them to be cool, but wasn’t willing to pony up for the gold wax-dipped DIPA bottle without at least trying the flagship IPA. Based on trying the IPA, I think it’s worth a shot. This is a good, solid IPA. Well-made if not mind-blowing.

Never heard of Blue Frog, where are they based? And did you get this from the brewpub itself, or was it in a beer store nearby?

I picked up a bottle at Belmont Station here in Portland. They’re based in Fairfield, California.
