There are some things that exist simply to serve as calibration for everything else. Absolute zero. Mt. Everest. The Marianas Trench. Moylan’s Hopsickle.

It is without qualification the hoppiest beer I have ever had. It’s not the bitterest, nor is it the most alcoholic, or even the sweetest. But tasting it is akin to consuming a hop bale’s worth of yellow, sticky humulone in a single, 22 ounce liquid package.

If you consider yourself a hophead, you must try this beer. If you fear IPA, though – avoid this at all costs. Personally, I love one every now and again, if only to recalibrate my personal hop-o-meter.
