I think it was the colorful label and the word “Dry” that grabbed me at the beer store. Portland has been suffering over the last few weeks. June is typically the start of our summer, with days of rain gradually being replaced by sunny, clear skies and, as a result, much improved dispositions. Lately it’s been all sour faces and not nearly enough tart summer beer. Happily, I was able to enjoy this beer in a cloudbreak, as I grilled pork chops for dinner. Summer will come. Right?

Notes: Some sticky icky, resiny hops in there that pair well with a toasted, biscuity thing. Quite dry and crisp, especially with food, I bet.
