They were out of my first choice when I ordered this from the menu at Fong’s Pizza in Des Moines, Iowa, an Asian-themed pizza place. No, I don’t know where it all came from, either. But I will say that the peanut-sauced chicken pizza was awesome, and the crust was a very respectable olive oil-based thin crust.
This is one of those rare “flavored” beers that I can safely say I could consume in quantity. The ginger flavor was real, totally un-artificial, and assertive enough that you were aware of it, but not so much that you wanted to scrape your tongue after a sip. The most surprising thing was how dry it was – like mineral water dry. And you have to love the label.
